Benjamin P. Wieck

For two decades, Ben has been helping sophisticated clients find dynamic solutions to complex legal disputes across myriad disciplines, including lender liability, creditors’ rights, business disputes, securities litigation, real estate matters and construction litigation. Beyond litigating, Ben also advises clients on transactional matters, including commercial lease negotiations and real estate deals. Through these varied experiences, Ben has honed his ability to assess evolving situations deftly and steer his clients to favorable outcomes. Foremost, he listens.

With clients ranging from Fortune 100 corporations involved in bet-the-company litigation to individuals mired in contract disputes, Ben tailors his approach to meet each client’s unique goals – whether that demands high-risk litigation, innovative settlement negotiations or something else entirely. Licensed in both Colorado and Illinois, Ben has handled matters during all stages of dispute resolution, including informal settlement discussions, mediation, arbitration and litigation in state and federal courts. Recently, Ben also first-chaired appeals in Illinois and Colorado state courts and in the federal Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Tenth Circuits.

Prior to joining Markus Williams, Ben gained valuable experience litigating at Jenner & Block, where he practiced alongside nationally-recognized attorneys. While in Chicago, Ben also worked at a mid-size firm and established his own solo practice before moving to Denver in 2021. When Ben is not practicing law, you can likely find him buried in a crossword, catching some live music, building something, playing mediocre golf or chasing his daughters around.
