Mr. Akers is an attorney who finds creative, cost-efficient, and practical solutions to matters involving bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring, including creditors’ rights, dissolutions, receiverships, and out-of-court workouts. Mr. Akers represents all stakeholders in bankruptcy cases under chapters 7, 11, and 13 and adversary proceedings, including corporate debtors and debtors in possession, asset purchasers, committees, secured and unsecured creditors, fiduciaries, and trustees.

Mr. Akers is also an experienced litigator. Mr. Akers represents small and large businesses in all aspects of commercial disputes, from engaging in pre-suit negotiations to trying cases and defending appeals in federal and state court.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Akers served six years in the United States Air Force as a communications and cyberspace officer.
