Peter Murphy specializes in commercial litigation and the representation of secured creditors, lessors, asset purchasers, and debtors in complex litigation, workouts, restructurings, and bankruptcy proceedings. He has represented companies and individuals in State and Federal Courts, and administrative and local government proceedings. In addition, he has been appointed as a Special Master in State District Court proceedings.
Sterling Airways v. Precision Standard – successfully represented trustee in foreign bankruptcy proceeding for the recovery of damages in State Court litigation involving international supply contracts.
Bank of the West v. Gindi, et al. – successfully prosecuted and resolved a fraudulent transfer action involving multiple people and entities in the context of trusts and estates law and bankruptcy law.
In re Autterson – on behalf of a creditor in multiple trials in the bankruptcy court and an appeal before the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the 10th Circuit, obtained reduction of competing insider claims, denial of a plan of reorganization, and dismissal of a chapter 11 bankruptcy case.
Hillcrest Bank v. Sanctuary Development, Inc. – resolved complex mechanic’s lien litigation, obtained multi-million dollar judgment against developers and completed multi-million dollar foreclosure.
Successfully represented lenders in the negotiation and resolution of multi-million dollar construction development projects including the commencement and management of receiverships, foreclosures, and related litigation.
